The Southwest Virginia Mountain Rescue Group is a dynamic group of professionally trained volunteers based out of the Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad. This allows us to not only respond locally, but throughout the state of Virginia as well. Events a year where we train in various aspects and specialties in the search and rescue field.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III. Well, I had big plans to chase this Southern beauty for an entire trip but I failed. Over sleeping from being up the nights before, waking up early only to fall back asle. I originally drove up the mountains to get some lightning shots of the approaching storms. Though I could not resist taking a photo of this old wicked tree while I watche.
